Treasury Department pledges $300M in grants to SSBCI Funded Programs to provide Technical Assistance
The U.S. Department of the Treasury (U.S. Treasury Department) announced plans to deploy $300 million of State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Technical Assistance grants to support underserved entrepreneurs and small businesses across the country.
Technical Assistance Grant Overview
States, Territories and Tribal Governments are eligible to receive grants to deliver Small Business Technical Assistance
The Technical Assistance grants must be used to provide assistance to Very Small Businesses (VSB) and businesses owned by Socially or Economically Disadvantaged Individuals (SEDI). The Treasury Department released its guidance on requirements
to receive the Technical Assistance Grants. Once the TA Application Portal is open the deadline for submitting the TA Grant Applications is September 1, 2022.

TA GRANT OVERVIEW
The TA Grant Program provides up to $200M (million) for jurisdictions (States, Territories, Tribal Governments) participating in the SSBCI Capital Program to provide technical assistance to SEDI (Socially or Economically Disadvantaged Individuals) business owners and entrepreneurs and very small businesses with fewer than ten employees (VSBs).
