The SSBCI Virtual Innovation Lab

Where collaboration meets real world solution building!

The SSBCI Innovation Lab is the nation’s first virtual online collective focused on creating and delivering solutions that solve the real world challenges that entrepreneurs and business owners encounter when attempting to acquire capital for their small business.

ABOUT THE SSBCI INNOVATION LAB

As part of the SSBCI National Information Clearinghouse – the SSBCI Virtual Innovation Lab serves as a forward looking interest group of SSBCI Fund Managers, Stakeholders, Partners, Industry Professionals and Subject Matter Experts working together to explore, collaborate and create new methods, solutions and tools that enable and empower small business growth and access to capital.

WHAT WE DO

IDEATE

The SSBCI Virtual Innovation Lab offers an inviting and encouraging virtual space to create and share new ideas, methodologies, tools and solutions.

COLLABORATE

Once an idea is formalized – self organizing teams utilize agile and lean project management practices to drive the idea to and through deployment.

DUPLICATE

Once deployed and validated the next step is to encourage duplication and scaling to other states, regions, communities and industries.

As States, Territories and Tribal Governments roll-out their SSBCI Funded Programs – many lack the staff, time or resources to explore, develop, deploy or validate new solutions, tools and methodologies. The SSBCI Virtual Innovation Lab serves as a national “virtual research team” focusing on exploring new approaches to addressing the needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners across the country.

PARTNERSHIPS AND ALLIANCES

A key component of the SSBCI Virtual Innovation Lab is its focus on connecting and partnering with private, commercial and government sector individuals, organizations, corporations and agencies. It is through these partnerships and alliances the true power of innovation can be unleashed.

OUR PROCESS

The SSBCI Virtual Innovation Lab process follows proven methods to ensure success and sustainability.
